Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, SQL, and familiarity with data sources like Excel and databases are typically required. Creativity, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for translating complex data into actionable insights. These skills ensure that data-driven stories are both accurate and accessible, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions.

What are some common challenges Tableau designers face when working with large datasets, and how can they address them?

Tableau Designers often encounter challenges such as slow dashboard performance and difficulty in visualizing complex relationships when working with large datasets. To address these issues, it's important to optimize data sources, use extracts instead of live connections when possible, and minimize the number of visualizations per dashboard.
