Senior Data Analyst
Position Overview
Our healthcare client is seeking a Tableau Data Analyst (Healthcare Background) to support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making across Revenue Cycle functions. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, develop meaningful dashboards, and transform complex healthcare data into actionable insights.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Tableau and SQL, a background in healthcare analytics, and experience working with large operational datasets. Experience with Epic, Caboodle, or Clarity is highly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations for Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Operational stakeholders.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, validate, analyze, and transform data from enterprise reporting environments.
  • Partner directly with business users to gather requirements and translate business questions into reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting related to billing, claims, denials, reimbursement, collections, provider productivity, and operational performance.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities for operational improvements through data-driven insights.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests and executive-level reporting initiatives.
  • Document report logic, data definitions, and business rules.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Strong SQL experience, including joins, stored procedures, performance tuning, and complex data analysis.
  • Experience working with large datasets and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Experience with data validation, reporting automation, and dashboard optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience supporting Revenue Cycle, Claims, Billing, Denials, Patient Financial Services, Revenue Integrity, or Provider Analytics.
  • Experience with Epic reporting environments including Caboodle, Clarity, Cogito, Resolute, or Professional Billing data.
  • Experience with healthcare datasets including claims, encounters, providers, reimbursement, HEDIS, quality measures, or population health reporting.
  • Experience with Power BI, SSIS, ETL processes, or data warehousing concepts.
  • Exposure to Azure, Snowflake, or modern cloud analytics platforms.
