The Volunteerโ€™s Role

Help local foundations turn data into insight, action, and stronger community impact. In this volunteer role, you will support partners to organize information, develop practical tools, and create a strategic framework that strengthens learning, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making.

Your work will help improve data governance, social impact measurement, operational efficiency, and digital readiness. By helping build a reliable โ€œsingle source of truth,โ€ you will contribute to more informed decisions and stronger community philanthropy across regional foundations.

As a volunteer, your duties will include:

  • Assess, organize, and consolidate data from Regional Foundations by reviewing existing sources and designing a standardized model with useful segmentation categories, such as entity type, region, topic, and target population.
  • Develop practical templates, dashboards, and analysis models that help partners report consistently, visualize results, and use data more effectively.
  • Compile regional methodologies and propose knowledge management approaches, including a repository of local initiatives and metrics to compare results across organizations.
  • Recommend digital security protocols to protect sensitive personal and organizational data, especially in territories affected by active armed conflict.
  • Propose simple, concrete, and context-specific actions to strengthen digital security practices for TerritoriA and the Territorial Foundations.
  • Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in areas related to Economics, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Science, Business Administration, or other related fields.
  • Experience in research and with social organizations, NGOs, or social impact projects is highly valued, especially in contexts involving vulnerable populations and confidential data. The ideal volunteer can translate technical data guidance into clear, practical processes that non-technical teams can confidently use.
  • Essential Background:

  • Three to five years of experience implementing information systems, managing data, controlling data quality, or supporting analytical processes in medium or large organizations.
  • Experience designing and managing data capture and storage systems that support analysis, visualization, automation, and reports with key findings and recommendations.
  • Experience in data analysis, beneficiary information systems, and data collection or visualization tools that support reliable monitoring, stronger decision-making, and effective exchange networks. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is desirable.
