Job description

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for the unloading/reloading of cylinder tubes to/from chassis. Perform tube preparation including blasting, sanding, thread repair and inspection. The ability to perform low voltage electrical inspection and repairs, mechanical repairs of brake and air system, chassis and running gear. Work in this area must be accomplished using safe and efficient techniques which prevent damage to equipment and safe work behaviors that ensure safety of oneself and fellow workers. Responsibility to maintain work area and shop clean and orderly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One-year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to identify and measure material
  • Ability to produce quality products consistently
  • Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
  • Must be reliable with a strong work ethic

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certification from a two-year college or technical school preferred
