Job description

Valley Medical Group is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team and work in our Amherst Health Center. If you are looking for a dynamic environment, this is your opportunity!
Position: Mammography Technologist
Location: Amherst, MA - coverage in all 4 health centers as needed
Hours: Per Diem, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm and 8:30am - 5:00pm. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.
The Mammography Tech will operate mammography equipment to make images according to ACR/MQSA standards.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage Radiology orders, billing functions, EMR buckets, and PACS
  • Manage mammography tracking, outreach to patients and other duties as needed.
  • Perform quality control on mammography equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of course in Radiology Technology approved by the American Register of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current ARRT Registered Technologist certification in Radiology and Mammography [R.T.(R)(M)]
  • Must have a primary source of performing MQSA required 200 mammograms every 2 years to maintain certification
  • Experience in both screening and diagnostic mammograms
  • Completion of required 15 mammography specific CEUs
  • Licensed within the state of Massachusetts
  • EMR experience, Athena experience a plus
