The Vendor Manager at T-Mobile is responsible for leading and supporting supplier relationship management initiatives supporting our Credit, Fraud, Payments and Collections operations. This role involves monitoring vendor performance, enforcing contract terms, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in risk management. The Vendor Manager is responsible for analyzing and managing vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements. They regularly prepare and present reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of vendor management expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of risk mitigation strategies
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manages and optimizes relationships with key vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services
  • Monitors vendor performance and enforces contract terms to ensure compliance and analyzes vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in vendor and supplier relationship management and risk management.
  • Prepares and presents reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams-such as Credit Strategy, Fraud Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal-and external partners to ensure seamless solution integration and timely delivery of capabilities.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field plus 3 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent. (Required)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Preferred)
  • 2-4 years - Implementing strategic planning and best practices in procurement and risk management Required
  • 4-7 years - Managing and optimizing relationships with vendors in a corporate setting Required
  • 4-7 years - Analyzing vendor costs and managing budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Vendor Management - Expertise in managing and optimizing relationships with vendors to ensure efficient procurement and compliance with contract terms. (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Supply Chain Management (CPIM) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM): This certification from APICS shows expertise in production and inventory management, aiding in the effective management of vendor-supplied goods and services. (Preferred)

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
