Job description

About the Client

Our client is seeking a highly organized and execution-oriented Business Systems & Project Manager to support operational improvement initiatives across the business.

This is neither a purely IT-focused role nor a strictly manufacturing-focused position. It is a hands-on operational role suited for someone who can effectively coordinate people, manage priorities, and drive project execution while also improving the digital systems that support day-to-day operations.

The primary focus of this role is ensuring execution through people - creating accountability, assigning ownership, and maintaining follow-through across teams through disciplined project management practices. A secondary focus is business systems analysis, particularly around digital workflows and internal process optimization.

Experience within manufacturing, industrial operations, or engineering-driven environments is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead internal cross-functional projects from planning stages through successful execution
  • Translate operational and business requirements into structured workflows, timelines, deliverables, and ownership plans
  • Coordinate teams and priorities across departments to maintain project momentum
  • Improve organizational execution through better structure, accountability, visibility, and follow-up
  • Review existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Support the development, optimization, and integration of digital systems across the organization
  • Enhance internal tools, workflows, reporting structures, and communication processes
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives and align projects with company objectives
  • Bridge operational requirements with practical system improvements that are usable and scalable
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a growing manufacturing business

Requirements

  • Strong project management experience with a proven ability to drive execution and completion
  • Experience coordinating teams, deliverables, and priorities across multiple departments
  • Background in business systems analysis, workflow optimization, process improvement, or systems implementation
  • Comfortable working with digital platforms, workflow tools, and business software solutions
  • Ability to convert broad business goals into structured action plans
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to move projects forward diplomatically
  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and execution mindset
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering support, or production environments is a strong advantage
  • Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, workflow management tools, or systems integration is considered beneficial
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • The ideal candidate is someone who naturally brings structure and organization to fast-moving environments.
  • They are capable of managing progress and accountability without relying on a large formal team structure.
  • They understand how to align people, maintain momentum, and ensure execution across departments.
  • They also recognize that systems and tools only create value when they improve operational execution in a practical way.
  • This opportunity is well-suited for someone who enjoys helping build stronger operational foundations within a real-world manufacturing environment.
Why Join the Client?
  • Our client is a growing manufacturing company focused on engineered equipment and continuous operational improvement.
  • This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving both operational execution and the systems that support the business.
  • If you have strong project execution capabilities, practical business systems thinking, and enjoy helping teams perform more effectively within a manufacturing environment, this could be an excellent opportunity.
