Job description

Responsibilities

The ideal Systems Engineer will possess the knowledge and technical expertise to support the team during the entire Systems Engineering life cycle.  We are seeking a forward leaning self-starter capable of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast paced environment.  They will be expected to support multiple efforts and will assist the customer in making informed decisions related to requirements and developments. Candidate will perform traditional Systems Engineering activities to include the following tasks/duties:

  • Collaborate with customer and stakeholders to understand mission needs then develop Concept of Operations documents
  • Capture and document User, Functional, and technical requirements
  • Perform analysis and allocation of requirements to systems and segments
  • Define and design end-to-end systems that meet mission needs
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development
  • Review test plans/procedures to ensures they meet the objectives
  • Provide project management support, development of project schedules and plans
  • Plan and coordinate integration and test support
  • Coordinate and participate in technical exchange meetings (TEMS)
  • Creating briefings to support Control Gates
  • Identify technical, CI and operational risks and recommend mitigations.
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience; or a PhD and 7 years of relevant experience. An additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer providing the above services
  • Strong written, communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to prepare and brief complex technical and non-technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be a self-starter who will take initiative for helping manage key parts of complex technical developments.
  • Possess a desire and ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects and be willing and able to aggressively learn the activities and focus of the organization.
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment.

Target Salary Range$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
