Attack Systems Engineering Manager

Company:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Systems Engineering Manager to join our Attack Program team in Mesa, AZ.

Join us, and you will have the unique opportunity to provide Systems Engineering support to the Apache AH-64 and AH-6 Little Bird programs, as well as to IWA programs.

We are looking for a Proven Leader to manage a team of employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering for Attack Programs, including IWA support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of employees performing Engineering and Technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.

  • Develop and execute project and process plans.

  • Implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.

  • Acquire resources for projects and processes.

  • Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate employees.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years' experience leading projects or teams

  • 5 years' experience working in an Engineering discipline.

  • External candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience).

  • Internal candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership".

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Systems Engineering & Analysis

  • Experience with Requirements Management

  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
