The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact? You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer focused engineering solution.
This role is more than just coding. We need a systems engineer intern who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. Using a variety of languages, rapid prototyping, and Agile software development, you'll work with the development team to develop and deploy software for both internal and client-facing projects across a variety of technologies and platforms. You'll analyze the needs and the environment to help make sure the solution the team develops considers the current architecture and operating environment and future functionality and enhancements. This position is located in Fayetteville, NC. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:
  • Experience with programming languages, including .NET, C++, JavaScript, Java, or Python, in a professional, academic, or internship work environment
  • Knowledge of software development best practices
  • Ability to learn new languages and frameworks
  • Ability to work in groups
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cyber Security by Spring 2028

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization
  • Experience creating scripts for automation
  • Experience working with or in the DOW
  • Knowledge of Agile scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of Model and Simulation technologies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
