Audio Video Installation Technician

Job Summary

The Audio Video Installation Technician is responsible for installing, wiring, configuring, and testing audio, video, and low-voltage systems in residential and commercial environments. This role focuses on structured wiring, equipment installation, system integration, and ensuring high-quality performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install low-voltage wiring for audio, video, networking, control, security and related systems
  • Pull, route, label, and terminate cables (speaker wire, HDMI, Cat5e/Cat6, coax, control wiring.
  • Install and mount audio and video equipment including TVs, projectors, speakers, racks, and source components
  • Install in-wall, in-ceiling, and outdoor speakers and displays
  • Follow wiring diagrams, system designs, and project documentation
  • Perform basic system configuration and testing to verify proper operation
  • Troubleshoot wiring, signal, and equipment issues
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members during installations
  • Follow safety procedures, building codes, and best installation practices
  • Document work completed and report any issues or changes to project leads

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with low-voltage audio/video wiring and installation
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices
