Job description

The Project Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of operational, financial, revenue cycle, and growth initiatives across Prime Healthcare’s Ambulatory Surgery Center Division.

The position works closely with ASC administrators, corporate departments, physicians, clinical leadership, and external partners to track projects, analyze performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure assigned initiatives are completed timely.

Key responsibilities include supporting billing, coding and collections improvement initiatives; monitoring revenue cycle and operational performance; assisting with implementation of new service lines and physician programs; coordinating cost-reduction and process-improvement projects; preparing analyses and reports; and tracking projects through implementation and completion.

Critical to success in this role is strong follow-through, analytical ability, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives across different surgery centers and departments.


Required qualifications:

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Health, or related field.

2.    Recent graduate or 1–2 years of relevant professional, internship, healthcare, analytical, or project coordination experience.

3.    Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

4.    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other business applications.

5.    Ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

6.    Ability to develop and maintain project plans, trackers, reports, and performance analyses.

7.    Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with corporate leadership, ASC administrators, physicians, clinical staff, and vendors.

8.    Demonstrated initiative, accountability, attention to detail, and follow-through.

9.    Ability to travel to Prime Healthcare ambulatory surgery centers 25-40%.

Preferred qualifications:

1.   Experience or coursework in healthcare operations, finance, revenue cycle, business analytics, consulting, or project management.

2.    Familiarity with healthcare billing, coding, collections, denials, accounts receivable, or reimbursement.

3.    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience analyzing operational or financial data.

4.    Interest in healthcare operations, process improvement, business development, and implementation of new clinical service lines.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $71,760.00 to $93,080.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
