In the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Effectors Center we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers.

The Systems Integration and Test (SIT) Advanced Technology (AT) Department in the Effectors Center is seeking a Design Verification lead on a program in the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons Strategic Business Unit. The individual will lead activities composed of members from multiple disciplines from the planning to the completion of multiple tests.

This position is an onsite role in Tucson AZ. Remote work is not possible.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for leading the planning and test execution of multiple design verification tests.

  • Create/modify documentation in support of reviews associated with the testing which may include Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR) packages.

  • Collaborate with a team of multidiscipline engineers to develop schedules

  • Collaborate with a team of multidiscipline engineers for tracking the status of the technical data packages and readiness for test

  • Managing and presenting to Stakeholders and Customer community, in design reviews and technical interchange meetings

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.

  • Experience with qualification and/or design verification testing

  • Experience with build ups, integration and testing (i.e. Acceptance test, Built in test)

  • Experience leading teams

  • Experience developing and completing documentation for test

  • Experience developing and conducting milestone meetings (i.e. Consent to Build, Test Readiness Review, Consent to Ship)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines, such as electrical, electronics, mechanical, software, and computer engineering.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
