Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for aย Lead Reliability, Maintainability & Safety (RAMS) Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Salt Lake City, UT surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**
ย **Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.**

In this highly visible position, you will lead the analysis and optimization of advanced systems, directly impacting mission-critical projects and customer success. You will mentor and inspire junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a subject matter expert in RAMS engineering. Job Responsibilities: ย 
  • Perform comprehensive RAMS analyses for both hardware and software, including Reliability and Maintainability Predictions, Reliability Modeling, Failure Modes, Effects & Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and a variety of Safety Analyses and other RAMS-related activities.ย 
  • Develop and present technical documentation and analysis results for both internal and external customer reviews, ensuring compliance with relevant military, government, and commercial handbooks and standardsย such asย MIL-HDBK-217F, Telcordia SR-332, 217Plus, MIL-HDBK-470, MIL-STD-882, NFPA70, and NAS 411.
  • Manage your time and resources effectively to support multiple concurrent engineering programs.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced RAMS personnel, and you will be expected to maintain excellent communication and presentation skillsย for the delivery ofย technical data.

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. ย 
  • Must be a US Citizen with a minimum of Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:ย 
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.ย In lieu ofย a degree, aย minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to interact with senior customer organizations and personnel.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with electrical engineeringย degrees.
  • Previous RAMS, Human Factors Engineering, FRACAS, Logistics Analysisย includingย GEIA-STD-0007, and defense industry experience.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Teamcenter, SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, Relyence,ย Catiaย Cameo, and Ansys Sherlock.
  • Strong mathematical skills, especially in probability and statistics.
