POSITION SUMMARY

The HRIS Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as the primary liaison between Human Resources, IT, Finance, and Payroll, ensuring that HR technology platforms support business objectives, enhance employee experience, and maintain data integrity. The HRIS Manager leads system implementations, process improvements, and data analytics initiatives that enable informed workforce decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Administration & Management

Serve as the primary system administrator for the Oracle HCM platform and all integrated HR applications.

Manage system configurations, business process workflows, security roles, and user access in alignment with organizational policies.

Partner with IT to oversee system upgrades, patches, and release management, including testing and deployment.

Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.

Continuous improvement approach towards automation and AI integration.

Data Integrity & Reporting

Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all HR data across systems.

Develop and maintain HR dashboards, standard and ad-hoc reports, and workforce analytics using HRIS reporting tools.

Conduct regular audits of HR data and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.

Support compliance reporting (EEO-1, VETS-4212, ACA, etc.) and audit requests.

Project Management & Implementation

Lead HRIS implementation and enhancement projects from requirements gathering through go-live, including vendor management and stakeholder communication.

Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to define business requirements and translate them into system solutions.

Manage project timelines, testing cycles (UAT), and change management activities.

Evaluate and recommend new HR technology solutions to improve efficiency and employee experience.

User Support & Training

Provide support to HR team members and employees on HRIS-related issues.

Develop and deliver training programs for system end-users at all levels of the organization.

Partner with the HR team to drive adoption of self-service tools and digital HR processes.

Team Leadership

Supervise and develop HRIS Analysts: providing coaching, performance management, and professional development.

Set team priorities and workload management in alignment with HR and organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Master's degree or HR technology certification (e.g., Oracle, Workday HCM, SAP SuccessFactors) preferred.

Experience

10+ years of progressive HRIS experience, with at least 2 years in management or lead capacity.

Hands-on experience administering an enterprise HRIS platform (Oracle (preferred), Workday, SuccessFactors, UKG, ADP Workforce Now, or equivalent).

Demonstrated experience managing HRIS implementations or large-scale system upgrades.

Experience with HR automation, AI integration, data analytics, reporting tools, and dashboard development.

Skills & Competencies

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in data analysis tools (AI, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and HRIS reporting modules.

Solid understanding of HR processes including benefits, compensation, talent management, payroll, and compliance.

Excellent project management skills; PMP or similar certification a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with integrations and APIs between HRIS and third-party systems (benefits carriers, ATS, LMS, etc.).

Familiarity with HRIS security, SOX compliance, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

Experience in a multi-state or global organization.
