The is a hybrid remote position after a period of on-site training located in South Burlington, VT.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Grants Management Analyst will be a key member for providing financial management, related analysis and reporting for many departments at University of Vermont Health and related entities. They will work with the System Grants Management Finance (GMF) team including the Lead Grant Analyst, Lead Grant Specialist and Grants Manager to support the System's needs related to all financial aspects of grants/research/clinical trials. The Grant Analyst's duties will include reviewing and analyzing grant contracts, building budgets, journal entries, set up and creation for new grants, closure of completed grants, following up on approaching reminders and past dated events and generating reports as needed. They will be the point of contact in Finance for questions and advise related to grants/research/clinical trials. They will conduct analysis of the monthly financial reports and billings and make recommendations. They will provide grant/research support to all areas at University of Vermont Health as assigned (to include but not limited to, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Management Accounting, Finance Administration, Healthcare Service Directors, Physicians and their research teams and the Office of Clinical Trials). They will assist with the completion of the annual University of Vermont Health Uniform Guidance Audit and the Financial Statement Audit and Footnotes as it relates to their assigned areas.
EDUCATION:
Must possess an Associate's Degree in Accounting, finance or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
Three or more years of relevant finance experience required, health care or grant research finance preferred. Experience with post-award grants management, contract review, grant auditing, or research coordination and finances are a plus.
