Job description

The Financial Systems Analyst serves as a key functional resource on the BTS Financial Systems team, supporting the implementation, sustainment, and enhancement of Oracle EPM Cloud (FCCS and EPBCS) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials. The ideal candidate has experience supporting system integrations between EPM and ERP, has participated in at least one end-to-end ERP/EPM implementation cycle, and has related accounting knowledge.

Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the Functional Analyst for the BTS Financial Systems Team in the implementation, sustainment and enhancement of EPM (FCCS and EPBCS) and ERP Financials.
  • Maintain detailed functional specifications for EPM including data loads, workflows, Metadata properties, reports, security groups, and enhancements.
  • Assist in delivering of month-end / year-end closing in EPM, maintain Segmented and Consolidated reporting structure, and Budgeting and Forecasting reports.
  • Security role administration in accordance with corporate policy within the EPM SUITE.
  • Review related Oracle updates / patches involving EPM and assigned ERP module. Execute unit/functional/regression testing and system integration testing according to Seaspan's sustainment model.
  • Participate in Business Requirements workshops to understand business needs and to support the gathering, review, and validation of needs for the purpose of documenting and maintaining functional requirements.
  • Participate in the gap analysis of the functional requirements to the system solution proposed, for solution updates and the recommendation of appropriate workarounds.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and Finance teams to identify performance improvement opportunities in EPM or assigned ERP modules to enhance work efficiency, system control, and SOPs.
  • Support sustainment by triaging tickets, performing root cause analysis, documenting resolutions, and partnering with super users to address recurring issues
  • Manage the communication /escalations / co-ordination of testing for all projects involving configuration updates or new business requirements.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner to cross-functional leaders, influencing decisions and supporting strategic objectives

What you'll bring

  • Strong communication skills pivot between technical specifications to business and financial terms. Strong analytical skills with focus on quality and critical thinking.
  • Bachelor's Business, Accounting, Business Technology, Management Information System degree or equivalent. In progress on working towards, or having an accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CA, CMA) is a strong asset.
  • 3+ years working in operational accounting, particularly in: Financial reporting, Fixed Assets, Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience either using or supporting Oracle EPM or Hyperion or ERP.
  • Working knowledge of SmartView, Oracle reporting tools or Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of integration between Finance and other functional modules.
  • Implementation and/or functional support experience in the following Oracle Products: EPM (FCCS and/or EPBCS), Oracle Financials (General Ledger, CoA, Fixed Assets, and/or PPM), Capital Asset Management, or OTBI Reporting.
  • Experience with Project Budgeting / forecasting in Oracle.
  • Experience working with 3rd party support.

The estimated salary for this position is $99,000 - $121,000. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate's skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company's sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
