Job description

Who We Are

At Encore Fire Protection, we are proud to be the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, serving over 90,000 customers from Maine to Louisiana. With a team of over 2,200 dedicated employees, we provide innovative, customized fire suppression, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm solutions that protect lives and properties every day.

Our goal is to deliver superior experience to those who trust us to safeguard what matters most. We are passionate about continuous growth, innovation, and maintaining a culture that thrives on success and commitment to safety. Our mission? To be the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.

The Opportunity

You’re naturally outgoing, detail-oriented, and unapologetically persistent. The people who thrive here can zoom in on the tiny details, then zoom out and keep the bigger picture moving. If you can juggle priorities while building real customer trust, you’ll fit right in at Encore.

Externally, this role is often called an Inside Sales Specialist. Internally, we call it a System Integrity Specialist, because that’s exactly what you’re protecting. You’ll help customers stay safe and code-compliant by identifying fire alarm deficiencies and guiding them to the right repair solutions.

Let’s be clear, this is not your typical inside sales job. Roughly 70% of your time is office-based: reviewing inspection results, building accurate quotes and proposals, and communicating with customers by phone and email. The other 30% is in the field: meeting customers, surveying life safety systems, building rapport, and making sure recommendations are accurate and compliant.

You’ll be paired with an outside sales executive and become a key point of contact for your accounts. You’ll advocate for the customer, clarify scope, coordinate next steps, and keep projects moving, so systems stay up to code.

Key Responsibilities

Day–to-day, your work will blend customer conversations, quoting, and site visits that turn inspection results into clear, actionable proposals. In this role, you will:

  • Review inspection reports and deficiency documentation tied to fire alarm systems.
  • Prepare and send quotes and proposals for repairs and maintenance contracts.
  • Communicate clearly with customers by phone and email scope, scheduling, next steps, renewals.
  • Track renewals, follow-ups, and proposal activity, keeping documentation accurate and organized.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations, to move work from quote to completion. Visit customer sites to survey systems and support accurate quoting.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Prior technical experience with fire alarm systems
  • Sales experience beyond retail or hospitality, or strong transferable customer-facing experience
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Willingness to commit to a technical learning curve and structured training
  • Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Openness to learning ServiceTrade, HubSpot, and other tools
  • A people-first mindset and clear communication style
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask the right questions

What Makes You Stand Out

  • You have experience translating inspection findings into repair scopes customers understand.
  • You have experience selling service work, repairs, or maintenance agreements.
  • You have experience coordinating multiple stakeholders to keep repairs moving fast.
  • You have experience in construction, trade, or life safety environments.
