Job description

Mujin is the future of industrial robotic systems in production and distribution environments. Our technology gives robots perception and awareness, enabling them to take on more advanced tasks. Our aim is to revolutionize the use of robotics within industry to free human resources from labor-intensive tasks to focus on more intellectual challenges.  

Mujin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration/Deployment Engineer who can provide integration support for robotic system solutions. As an Integration Engineer at Mujin, you will collaborate with a world-class team of doers and dive into challenging technical problems to deliver our solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating systems within our organization, ensuring seamless operation and efficiency. This role requires a combination of engineering knowledge, problem solving, curiosity, innovation, leadership, and communication. You will play a critical role in deployment and integration for robotic applications in warehouse and logistics, providing remote and onsite support.  

  • Lead and support Integration of robotic automation equipment including: industrial robots, AGVs, end effectors, Mujin robot controllers, and vision systems  
  • Leverage Mujin’s controller platform to scale, diagnose and troubleshoot production-ready digital twins for robot and AGV systems 
  • Work with a cross-functional software team to deliver rapid, over-the-air updates to systems entering production 
  • Execute system test plans and maintain technical documentation related to system integration 
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Robot, AGV, and material handling systems to meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 
  • Function as part of an interdisciplinary technical team that proves and validates our solutions to drive successful delivery to our customers ensuring their satisfaction 
  • Support installation and commissioning of Mujin robot controller and other material handling equipment at customer sites 
  • Perform remote maintenance using the Mujin controller to maintain and monitor production assets 
  • Ensure systems adherence to relevant to industry safety standards and customer requirements 
  • Provide quality assurance, installation inspection, and commissioning reports that support satisfaction of all key system checks 
  • Support punch list items as needed on site (quality issues, technical issues during install - ensuring system works correctly) 
  • Document progress on project deliverables and testing for internal stakeholders 
  • Perform system training as required to ensure successful project delivery 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a material handling and logistic automation integration 
  • Experience reading, understanding and troubleshooting electrical schematics (AutoCAD and/or EPLAN) 
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices 
  • Experience with Linux and Python 
  • A baseline understanding of computer networking principles 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis of mechatronic issues 
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation and continuous improvement are key 
  • Must be able to work independently with limited oversight and tackle complex problems in remote locations with minimal assistance 

Preferred:  

  • Hands-on experience with six-and seven-axis robot arm task creation for material handling equipment’s 
  • AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience 
  • Experience with PLC commissioning, troubleshooting and programming – Allen Bradley, Siemen, etc.   
  • 3+ years of experience integrating and deploying robotic solutions   
  • Proven track record of contributing to complex integration projects 
  • Familiar with industrial safety best practices regarding robotic systems 

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:   

  • Travel Requirement:  Up to 25%, domestically 
  • Occasionally lift up to 25lbs 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Ability to work extended hours as required
