Millennium-Space Systems is looking for aLaunch System Integration Engineer(mid-career) that canlead and direct the integration ofMSS spacecraft toselectlaunchor hostvehicles,manageprocessing at the launch base, and conduct launch and ascent operations.Primary relationship manger and owner of the interface between MSS and the other launch campaign stakeholders including the Launch Vehicle Contractor (LVC)or Host Vehicle Contractor, the Launch Range (Range), launch base processing facilities, day of launch tracking and data and communications services, and other participants.

Position Responsibilities

  • Ownership ofall activities related to the launch vehicle/host vehicle integration and launch of our spacecraft

  • Develop and manage integrated schedules and plans

  • Own and manage interface control documentation including requirements development and specifications, and verification

  • Developlaunch basesafety and operations plans and secure approval from the launch range authority.

  • Develop payload processing facility requirements

  • Assuretransportation for the SV and associated GSE

  • Ensure the success ofintegrationactivitiesat the launch base, or host facility

  • Lead the planning andexecution ofday of launch activities with all participating contractors and agencies

  • Leadmultiple stakeholders and subject matter experts across a wide range of technical and programmatic disciplines

  • Support launch vehicleselectionand compatibility trades when applicable

  • Provide company leadership tolaunch and launch integration relatedactivities

This position's internal job code is Systems Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for Levels 3-4.

Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required post start.

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering

  • 5+ yearsofexperience performing mission design, orbital, dynamic, or structural analyses

  • 5+ yearsof program level experience interfacing with program customers and external contractors

  • Experience in spacecraftlaunch operations, flight operations,integrationand test,orgroundprocessingoperations

  • This position requires the ability to travel to various launch sites and MSS facilities.

Preferred Qualifications(Preferred Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of hosted payload integration/operations

  • 5+ years of experience working with space launch community stakeholders including launch base range safety, launch vehicle contractors,host vehicle contractors,launch base processing facilities and US Government space launch organizations.

  • Active U.S. Top Secret Security clearance
