Job description


We are looking for an experienced EDI Data Integration Systems Engineer to support, manage, and optimize our EDI systems and integration processes. This role will involve providing ongoing support services, managing critical incidents, and delivering key documentation to ensure the smooth operation of our EDI systems. The successful candidate will also play a key role in onboarding new projects, troubleshooting transactional issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ongoing Support Services: Provide continuous support as defined in theMaster Services Agreement (MSA), ensuring all systems function as expectedand incidents are resolved promptly.
  • Onboarding & Transition Services: Manage the onboarding and transition of newprojects or environments, ensuring seamless integration with existingsystems and processes.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and deliver essential documentation,including:
    • Process Handbooks (SOPs)
    • Onboarding & Offboarding Trackers
    • Incident, Change, Problem, and GovernanceReports
    • Weekly Status and Metric Reports
    • Monthly Dashboards and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Documents
    • Functional & Technical Documentation
    • Outage Reports and Scope Change Documents
  • Requirement Gathering & Process Analysis: Work closely with business analysts,stakeholders, and project teams to gather and document businessrequirements. Define system specifications, ensuring all technical andoperational aspects are well documented.
  • System Improvements: Recommend and implement improvements based onoperational efficiencies, emerging technologies, and business needs.
  • Incident Resolution: Resolve incidents and service requests usingthe ticket management system within the defined SLAs, ensuring timelyresolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Software Release & Transition: Participate in software release cycles,implementing code changes, and ensuring smooth transitions fromdevelopment to support teams.
  • Incident Management & Escalation: Oversee incident management for Priority 2, 3,and 4 issues. Provide reports for Priority 2 incidents and ensure thatunresolved or misrouted tickets are escalated.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Apply system patches and carry out regularmaintenance tasks to minimize incidents and prevent system failures.
  • Change Management: Participate in change activities, such assystem upgrades, ensuring all changes are implemented according to formalchange management processes.
  • System Monitoring: Continuously monitor EDI systems,troubleshooting transactional halts and ensuring systems are operating atoptimal levels.

  • EDI & Sterling Integrator: In-depth knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and Sterling Integrator for managing andtroubleshooting data flows.
  • Incident Management: Proven experience with incident managementtools (e.g., ServiceNow), including root cause analysis,troubleshooting, and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to produce clear and accurate technicaldocumentation, including process manuals, incident reports, and systemspecifications.

Qualifications:
