Job description

Standard Job Description
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated professional, eager to take ownership of the integration, verification, troubleshooting, and validation of complex software-intensive systems operating within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and/or laboratory environments. This role serves as a technical bridge between software, hardware, systems, and test engineering disciplines, with primary responsibility for executing and supporting formal software verification activities.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of both; hardware and software interfaces and will be capable of independently diagnosing issues across software applications, embedded systems, test equipment, communication interfaces, and supporting laboratory infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications
  • STEM degree or equivalent experience.
  • Four+ years of expereince in Integration and Test and/or system software verification
  • Experienced in tracing failures across software, hardware, interfaces, and test infrastructure.
  • Ability to distinguish between software defects, hardware failures, configuration issues, and test-environment problems.
  • Ability to translate requirements into executable verification activities.
  • Independently lead troubleshooting efforts for moderately complex integration problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to software, hardware, systems, and program stakeholders and leadership.
  • Experienced maintaining configuration control and verification traceability.

Desired Skills
  • Previous HWIL experience working with real time embedded systems using both HW/SW.
  • Proficiency in Linux systems.
  • Hands-on experience related to hardware testing and/or embedded systems and/or a simulation system.
  • Experience integrating closed loop systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams through major technical reviews throughout the System Lifecycle.
  • Experience applying System Engineering processes in an Agile environment.
  • Hands on experience in Scrum or Kanban environments; daily use of Jira, Confluence, and GitLab issue boards for sprint planning, backlog refinement, and status reporting.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
