THE OPPORTUNITY
This role will serve as the strategic technology leader for our client's enterprise applications. It offers a strategic seat at the table with executive exposure. This is not a maintenance role; it is a mandate to modernize, lead, and transform. You will own the full lifecycle of our ERP, CRM, and custom application portfolio, lead a high-performing team of IT professionals, and partner directly with the VP of Process & Systems and senior business leadership to drive technology-enabled competitive advantage. The team is ready to grow under strong leadership.
THE DUTIES
Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT systems strategy aligned to the company's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Process & Systems and executive stakeholders to identify technology needs and deliver solutions that drive efficiency and growth.
  • Contribute to the IT roadmap and multi-year budget planning process.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and drive adoption of innovations that deliver competitive advantage.
Enterprise Application Management
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications - ERP, CRM, custom solutions, and other business-critical platforms.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of all systems and infrastructure.
  • Manage vendor and external partner relationships for software, integrations, and support services.
Software Development Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of four developers, architects, and QA professionals.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for development methodologies, coding standards, and quality assurance.
  • Manage the project portfolio - ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Team & Talent Development
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top IT talent.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide meaningful coaching and feedback.
  • Create career development pathways that keep high performers engaged and growing.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Product Support to understand business needs and translate them into technology requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between IT and all business units.
THE EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing systems and development teams.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale ERP and CRM platforms across the full lifecycle.
  • Deep knowledge of system architecture, databases, networking, and security principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern architectural approaches strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
  • Strong project portfolio management skills - scope, budget, timeline, and quality.
  • Change management expertise; ability to lead organizational and technical transformation.
  • Exceptional communication skills - able to translate technical complexity for executive and business audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
