Job description

Title: System Engineer
Location: Long Beach, CA 90808
Duration: Long-term contract 12+ months

Description:
The Systems Engineer shall provide the deliverables listed below in accordance with the C-17 SEMP, program schedules, and applicable contractual data requirements. All deliverables shall be suitable for peer review, technical baseline control, and inclusion in program decision-making, verification, and certification activities
Apply systems engineering methods to support the development, decomposition, allocation, verification, and lifecycle management of system requirements in accordance with the C-17 Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), applicable MIL-STDs, and program airworthiness/certification requirements. The work shall support safe, effective, and traceable integration of other system disciplines into the program baseline, technical reviews, and verification activities.
The Systems Engineer shall:
  • Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, and traceability from top-level product requirements to lower-level system and specialty engineering requirements.
  • Integrate engineering activities into the program work breakdown structure, schedule, and technical review process.
  • Support development and update of system requirements, design documentation, verification plans, and test artifacts.
  • Identify, document, and disposition technical issues, interface concerns, and program risks.
  • Participate/Lead design reviews, workshops, and integration/certification working groups as required.
  • Generate SE related documentation and test plans.
This work statement requires the following deliverables:
  • Project requirements package containing decomposed, allocated, and measurable system requirements derived from higher-level program or product requirements.
  • Systems Engineering Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Task Plans.
  • Verification and Validation Plans.
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • Technical Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans.
  • Requirements Decomposition and Integration Workshop Outputs
  • Technical Meeting and Design Review Participation Records and Minutes.
  • Draft Technical Analyses, Reports, and Estimation Products.
  • Systems Engineering Test and Evaluation Artifacts
