  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement approach

Accountabilities:

Individual accountabilities

  • Overall responsibility of technical processes and continuous improvement for all Chemprene product lines.
  • Direct supervision of the Maintenance and Production Engineering Team.
  • Leads and coordinates the delegation of process improvement tasks to maintenance, technical and other support personnel.
  • Review, recommend and execute process improvements and optimizations to existing processes with engineering principles.
  • Ownership of Ammega Production System implementation.
  • Ownership and implementation of CMMS process for Maintenance Team.
  • Commitment to maintenance/engineering role with EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards governing pollution control, safety requirements, and reporting requirements
  • Ensures all Maintenance activities are executed in accordance with all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Partners with Project Managers and Site Controller for proper capital planning and project execution.
  • Facilitate root cause corrective action for process failures using defined problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, DOE, etc.)
  • Facilitate continual improvement Kaizens for using defined lean tools (VSM, SMED, MOSS, Spaghetti Diagram, etc.)
  • Defining strategy and actions to improve safety, reliability, efficiency and quality of all production processes and systems.
