TECHNOLOGY

RedHat Linus & Windows Operating Systems, VMWare ESXi, Dells & HP servers, WSUS, NetApp

REQUIREMENTS

Strong and deep Linux & Unix System Engineering skills in both physical and virtual server environments supporting infrastructure management, including managing kernels; installing and maintaining operating systems, configuring hardware/software utilizing monitoring techniques, troubleshooting, and sustaining the operational health of the infrastructure. Supports RHEL7+, Windows 2012+, and VMWare ESXi servers in a virtual enclave environment. Supports Active Directory with Centrify integration for Linux systems. Account creation and assigning users to Linux systems via Centrify and DELL Active Roles for assignment of groups. Installs McAfee and Nessus Agent software, performing Nessus scanning in accordance with agency approved tools. Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots servers. Upgrades memory, swap, and hard disk space for DELL, HP, and custom-built servers. Executes storage data migrations from Legacy NetApp equipment to the latest storage solutions. Patches systems using Red Hat Satellite server, WSUS Servers. Manages and installs IAVA and CVE patches to maintain ATO compliance; installing software and running hardening scripts to meet STE/STN requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Shall have a minimum of Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.

Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

EDUCATION

A Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related professional engineering discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
