System Administrator


Onsite Role:

Currently seeking a candidate to work ONSITE. The System Administrator oversees and manages all aspects of the organization’s information technology systems. This role is critical in maintaining network and systems operations, implementing security measures, and ensuring technology efficiency across various functional and mission-related areas.


Job Responsibilities

·        Implement and monitor security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and threats. Perform risk analyses, manage security audits, and maintain compliance with government regulations and environmental standards.

·        Provide ongoing support for IT hardware and software. Respond to technical issues, manage system backups, and perform data recovery. Ensure all IT equipment operates efficiently and complies with industry standards.

·        Coordinate the installation and upgrading of IT systems, including servers and network hardware. Plan and oversee the migration and integration of new technologies.

·        Manage relationships with vendors for emergency repairs and maintenance. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders about system statuses and updates.

·        Develop and maintain operational and training manuals. Provide training and support to users on new systems and applications.

·        Implement network security measures, including intrusion detection systems and virus protection. Ensure the integrity and security of transmitted and stored data.

·        Develop and execute disaster recovery plans. Ensure backups are performed regularly and test backup systems to validate data integrity.


Minimum Job Qualifications

·        Minimum of 4 years of experience in system administration or a related field required.

·        Proven experience in system administration and security.

·        Strong knowledge of current technology standards, trends, and IT regulations.

·        Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        Flexibility to handle emergency situations outside of standard hours.

·        Regular and predictable attendance.

·        Knowledge of Oracle and MySQL preferred.
