Purpose
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Site Manager / General Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and multi-skilled professional to join our team at our Phoenix flex building. In this hybrid role, you will drive sales by engaging with customers, generating leads, and closing deals while also handling day-to-day warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, fulfilling orders, and performing local deliveries. This position is ideal for someone with proven sales experience who enjoys both building relationships and getting hands-on to ensure customer satisfaction from sale to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Duties (approximately 50-60% of time):
  • Prospect and generate leads through phone calls, emails, in-person visits, and networking in the Phoenix area.
  • Engage with existing and potential customers to understand their needs, present products/services, and provide quotes or proposals.
  • Close sales, negotiate terms, and upsell/cross-sell additional products or services.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in our SYSPRO system and follow up on leads/opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Duties (approximately 40-50% of time):
  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory in the warehouse portion of the flex building.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently using picking lists or inventory software.
  • Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified - training provided if needed).
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintain organized storage areas.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Handle local deliveries and/or customer pickups in the Phoenix metro area as needed (using company vehicle).
  • Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and with high-quality packaging/shipping preparation.
  • Assist with general facility maintenance and organization in the flex space (office + warehouse areas).
General Duties:
  • Provide excellent customer service at all touchpoints, from initial inquiry through post-delivery follow-up.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve any order issues, returns, or discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and warehouse best practices.
  • Track and report on key metrics (sales performance, order accuracy, delivery timeliness).
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, sales, logistics, or related field preferred but not required.
  • At least 2 years of proven sales experience (B2B or B2C preferred; inside sales, outside sales, account management, or similar customer-facing sales roles).
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, fulfillment, distribution, or logistics is a strong plus (but not strictly required - hands-on training provided).
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for local deliveries).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and perform physical warehouse tasks (standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders).
  • Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective sales interactions.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, email, inventory/CRM software - training provided).
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced flex environment.
  • Flexible schedule availability (may include occasional overtime or varied shifts).
