Client is looking for STRONG LYNC EXP.
Job Summary
This position is for an experienced senior engineer in the Microsoft Exchange, Lync and Office 365 technology space. This engineer with architect, implement and primarily support Unified Messaging and Exchange solutions. This role will also support strategic initiatives that move services from on premise to Office 365.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
• Design, build and implementation of conferencing solutions. On Premises (Lync 2010) and Office 365 Multi-Tenant (Skype for Business).
• Interact with the team and internal customers to ensure continuity and customer satisfaction of services
• Actively participate in developing operational models, processes, and procedures.
• Responsible for deliverables of technical projects relating to messaging systems, collaborating with enterprise solutions design to deliver build diagrams and run documentation for operations.
• Work with service owners and business leaders to recommend solutions to address new business requirements
• Provide operations and Tier III support for the following Microsoft Platform technologies:
* Skype for Business
* Lync 2010
* Exchange 2013
* Exchange Unified Messaging
* Active Directory
* Office 365 Technologies
• Troubleshoot IP based faxing systems
• Tier III support for client systems
Qualifications
• Generally 5-8 years of experience in related field (i.e.
Microsoft Platform technologies in a large enterprise) OR 3-5 years of
experience in a related field if candidate has an advanced degree
• 5+ years of experience with Lync/Skype and Exchange systems
• VoIP/telephony experience with multiple solutions (ie. Cisco, Avaya/Nortel), working knowledge of PBX integration scenarios (ie.
Skype Server deployed with the intent to handle voice communications;
including the ability to make inbound and outbound PSTN voice calls via
third party PBX, gateway or SIP Trunk
•
Success at migrating an enterprise environment to the latest version of
Skype for Business to include cloud migrations such as Office 365
services
• Experience with routing and switching protocols, TCP/IP, QoS, VLANs, DNS and WAN protocols related to voice technologies
• Strong understanding of Windows Server 2012
• Experience with using PowerShell to manage Skype and Exchange
• In-depth knowledge of network captures and network troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of load balancing solutions
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
•
Understand the integration of Lync/Skype systems within a Cisco IP
telephony infrastructure such as CUCM and Cisco Telepresence.
• Outstanding customer service, communication and presentation skills
• Experience writing technical documentation for use in operations
• Ability and willingness to work under a rotational escalation On-Call team
