About the Internship

Continental Express Inc. is an industry-leading transportation company specializing in transporting refrigerated freight. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transportation & Logistics / Supply Chain Intern to join our team. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in transportation operations, logistics, fleet management, shipment coordination, and supply chain processes.

The ideal candidate is interested in building a career in transportation, logistics, operations, or supply chain management and is eager to learn how products and materials move efficiently from origin to destination.


Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities

  • Assist with daily transportation and logistics operations.
  • Help coordinate shipments, deliveries, pickups, and transportation schedules.
  • Monitor shipments and assist with tracking loads and delivery status.
  • Support dispatch and transportation planning activities.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate transportation and shipment records.
  • Review operational data and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Assist with scheduling drivers, equipment, and resources.
  • Help monitor key performance indicators related to transportation and supply chain operations.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal departments as needed.
  • Help investigate and resolve shipment, delivery, or scheduling issues.

Qualifications

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
