Job description

The Senior Construction Project Manager oversees and directs commercial construction projects ranging from small-scale to mid-scale, typically valued under $10 million. This role leads teams of up to 30 members, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards while managing safety and contract obligations. Travel requirements are minimal, allowing focus on effective on-site and office-based project coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize construction project phases to meet timelines and goals
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation
  • Lead and coordinate small to medium-sized teams effectively
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate project schedules to align with team and stakeholder needs
  • Maintain safety management protocols to uphold workplace safety
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in construction project management
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
  • Expertise in construction scheduling and budgeting
  • Strong contract management and negotiation skills
  • Experience with risk management in construction environments
  • Proven leadership and team problem-solving abilities
