We're Hiring Experienced Servers!
The Dixboro Project is a sprawling visionary concept in the historic village of Dixboro, Michigan. Our spaces invite you to experience the intersection of world-class dining, transformational hospitality, and abundant nature. The Dixboro House is our restaurant arm of this unique project - carved out of the bones of the original barn structure originally erected in 1880. The century old barn has been restored to feature exposed 140 year old timbers, a gambrel vaulted ceiling and the original stone fireplace, and modern kitchen providing a familiar comfort to our guests.
Our service is guided by our commitment to excellence. We are serious about our service - working with synchronicity to stage and deliver a consistently excellent experience for each guest that walks through our doors.
Servers are at the center of that experience. More than taking orders, our Servers serve as guides, educators, and hospitality professionals who create meaningful connections with every table. Through exceptional product knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and polished execution, they help transform every meal into a memorable occasion.
Joining The Dixboro House means joining a team that is passionate about hospitality and committed to continual growth. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, develop valuable skills, and have opportunities to expand your knowledge of food, beverage, and service while building a rewarding career in hospitality.
What You'll Do:
  • Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality from the moment they arrive.
  • Confidently guide guests through our food and beverage menus while answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary accommodations.
  • Tailor recommendations to each table, creating personalized dining experiences based on guest preferences and occasions.
  • Anticipate guest needs throughout service, delivering attentive and polished hospitality while consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Build product knowledge and sales skills to elevate the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations and pairings.
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work while maintaining an organized and service-ready dining room.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings, tastings, and ongoing education to continuously develop your hospitality expertise.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture by communicating effectively, supporting fellow team members, and upholding our standards of excellence.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Server. Hospitality certification and/or education is a plus.
  • Lunch and Brunch availability or preference.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a smooth and cooperative environment.
  • Embrace a collaborative team approach to fulfill both the team mission and each guest's needs.
  • Demonstrate emotional intelligence and effectively manage personal energy in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, embrace opportunities for growth and learning, and take pride in professional presentation.
  • Remain composed and focused in fast-paced settings, exhibiting strong attention to detail and efficient task prioritization.
  • Refuse to compromise on standards or resort to shortcuts, upholding our commitment to excellence.

Why Work With Us:
  • Employee dining discounts at TPG restaurants.
  • Accrued paid sick time for eligible team members, including part-time employees.
  • Ongoing food, wine, and service education through tastings, pre-shift meetings, and hands-on development.
  • A collaborative team-service environment where everyone contributes to the guest experience and shares in the team's success.
  • Opportunities to build your hospitality career and grow within The Dixboro Project and The Pulpo Group.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
  • Remain standing and moving throughout shifts that may last up to 10 hours.
  • Frequently walk, bend, reach, twist, and navigate stairs while working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Safely carry trays, plates, glassware, and other service items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift, move, or transport supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work safely around hot surfaces, sharp objects, wet floors, crowded spaces, and varying noise and temperature levels.
