Job Summary:
Mindlance is a national recruiting company which partners with many of the leading employers across the country. They are seeking an IT Desktop Support Associate to provide technical guidance to users and minimize operational downtime. The role involves assembling and supporting desktop and laptop computers, educating end-users, and coordinating with vendors for repairs.
Responsibilities:
• Assemble and support desktop & laptop computers and applications (Windows 7 Professional, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, RightFax, Filemaker, Symantec Endpoint Protection, SAS, etc.)
• Support/educate end-users
• Image systems via Ghost and/or SCCM
• Utilize the SCCM to deliver new/updated software packages to the desktops/laptops
• Maintain license inventory of all desktop computer applications
• Maintain physical inventory of all desktop & laptop computers
• Perform minor troubleshooting & repair of computers
• Coordinate with vendors for the repair of desktop and laptop computers in and out of warranty
• Provide remote support and troubleshooting.
• Provide Desktop Team leadership
• Attend team meetings
• Make recommendations for improvement to Manager, Site Support
• Other duties as assigned by Manager, Site Support
Qualifications:
Required:
• High level customer services skills
• An empathetic and approachable manner
• A passion for IT and the ability to learn new technologies
• The discipline to work within a fast-paced and dynamic support environment both individually and as part of a team.
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or 3 year’s desktop support experience
• Experience with Microsoft desktop applications (Office, Outlook, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Minimal travel, as necessary
• Willing to work weekends/nights as needed for system upgrades
Preferred:
• Microsoft certification (MSCE)
• Systems administrator experience with Microsoft Networking systems (Windows 2008/2012) with a LAN of at least 10 users is desirable
• Experience supporting Android and iOS mobile devices
