Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative plays a central role in supporting the sales process and customer experience. This position partners closely with Outside Sales, Marketing, and internal teams to move opportunities forward, keep orders on track, and ensure customers receive timely, accurate communication. This role helps turn leads into active opportunities, supports deals through completion, and keeps sales data organized so the team can operate efficiently and deliver a smooth, professional experience.


POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN: Spokane, WA; Tacoma, WA; Boise, ID; Wilsonville, OR


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Sales & Customer Support

  • Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to support active opportunities, prepare quotes and proposals, and help move deals forward
  • Serve as a go-to contact for customers with questions about products, orders, and timelines
  • Follow up on quotes, leads, and customer inquiries to maintain momentum and responsiveness
  • Track orders through key post-sale milestones such as delivery, inspections, shipping, and training
  • Coordinate with service, parts, accounting, and sales teams to resolve order or documentation issues


Lead & Marketing Support

  • Help manage inbound leads from phone, email, and website and ensure they are routed and followed up on appropriately
  • Support approved marketing campaigns through customer and prospect follow-up
  • Assist with maintaining accurate customer data, lists, and segmentation in CRM systems
  • Support trade shows, customer events, product launches, and related follow-up activities
  • Share customer feedback, objections, and market insights to help inform sales and marketing strategy


Sales Operations & Systems

  • Maintain accurate quotes, orders, contracts, and opportunity data in CRM and ERP systems
  • Help ensure pricing, documentation, and customer information meet internal standards
  • Support reporting needs such as sales activity, pipeline updates, and order status
  • Assist with data cleanup, audits, system updates, and process improvement efforts that make the sales process more efficient


Physical Demands and Work Environment


This is primarily an office-based role. The employee regularly sits, works at a computer, and uses standard office equipment such as a phone and printer. Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching may be required. The employee may occasionally lift or move items up to 10 pounds. Close vision and the ability to focus on a computer screen for extended periods are required.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, sales support, or a customer-facing administrative role
  • Experience supporting outside or field sales teams preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written, verbal, and phone communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as business needs require (up to 10%)
