Job description

Terracon is seeking an experienced Senior EHS Manager - Regional Service Line to join our Team in the Gulf Coast Division. This person can sit in any of the Gulf Coast offices including Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to lead our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) efforts in Terracon's Gulf Coast Division (Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee) and assist staff and clients across the country. 

We are looking for someone with broad EHS experience that can mentor staff and build our EHS practices throughout the Gulf Coast Division and work with our EHS team across the country. We want you to join Terracon!  Some of the EHS skills we are currently looking for include:

To be successful in this role you will need to be confident and possess a strong technical background with proven leadership skills.  You will manage projects, prepare reports and other deliverables, and review documents prepared by others for accuracy, completeness, and quality following company standards. You will also develop client relationships; and train, mentor, and direct staff on projects. You will serve as a point of contact for EHS services in the Gulf Coast Division and provide support on regional and national projects and pursuits.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (Master's degree preferred),
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in a full-time consulting role,
  • Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability,
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills,
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word,
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and possess a positive attitude,
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history, and
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8-Hr refresher preferred.
  • Assess EHS staff capabilities across the Division
  • Develop EHS Growth Plans with Operational Leadership
  • Work with Client Development and technical staff on implementing Growth Plans
  • Prepare calculations, applications, plans, reports, proposals, and other deliverables
  • Manage projects and staff to ensure quality and timeliness
  • Work with Operations to understand local EHS growth opportunities
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients
  • Develop proposals in response to RFPs and client requests
  • Participate in the development of local and regional marketing strategies
  • Support safety efforts to promote safety rules and guidelines
  • Evaluate problems and develop practical solutions that enable our clients to achieve and maintain compliance with environmental regulations
