Job description


Design Hire is supporting a confidential client seeking a Swiss Machinist to produce precision machined components in a detail-driven manufacturing environment. This role is a strong fit for someone with Swiss machine experience, strong print-reading ability, and the technical discipline to support quality parts from setup through inspection.


Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Swiss machining equipment to produce accurate parts according to work instructions and drawings.
• Perform machining operations while maintaining tight tolerances, part quality, and production expectations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, GD&T requirements, and technical documentation.
• Support programming edits, tooling adjustments, and process improvements to maintain efficient production.
• Inspect completed parts, document results, and help resolve non-conformance issues when needed.


Qualifications

• Prior Swiss machining experience required.
• Citizen machine experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of precision machining, setup, tooling, and part inspection.
• Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T requirements.
• CMM experience preferred.
• CAD or programming experience is a plus.
• Experience identifying, documenting, or assisting with non-conformance resolution preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, communication, and problem-solving skills.
