Job description

2nd Shift - Swiss Screw Machine Operator

Volt is immediately hiring for a Swiss Screw Machine Operator in La Verne, CA.

As a Swiss Screw Machine Operator you will:

  • Set up and operate screw machines (manual or CNC) to produce precision components.
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed rate, and tooling to meet specifications.
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during production.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and report any deviations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Replace worn or damaged tools and components.
  • Track production output and machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and machine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve efficiency.

This is a full-time opportunity. Monday-Friday 2pm to 10pm (paid lunch).

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Proven programming experience
  • Knowledge of how to read and understand blueprints
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills
  • Good mathematical skills (basic, algebra etc.)
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay rate: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
