Basic Function
Responsible for routine maintenance on pools and other water attractions within the park, including the campgrounds.
Specific Responsibilities
โ€ข Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool.
โ€ข Maintain the pool and all water features using proper chemicals and cleaners.
โ€ข Maintain the pool pumps and filters.
โ€ข Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
โ€ข Carrying out scheduled water cleaning, using chemicals like chlorine.
โ€ข Use swimming pool vacuum cleaners to clean the pool floor.
โ€ข Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any leaves or debris.
โ€ข Making sure equipment like pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order
โ€ข Work with other departments as needed to complete duties.
โ€ข Maintain compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
โ€ข Maintain positive interaction with other employees and Guests.
โ€ข Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Indiana Beach Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required
โ€ข Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
โ€ข Preferably have prior knowledge of pool maintenance responsibilities.
โ€ข Must be able to work varied shifts, days, nights, and weekends including extended hours when required and willing to work under various weather conditions.
โ€ข Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
โ€ข Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift regularly.
โ€ข Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
