Position Overview:
The Pool Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining swimming pool equipment and related systems for residential and commercial customers. This position requires strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide professional service while ensuring customer satisfaction. The technician will work with pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, plumbing, and other pool equipment to ensure pools operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, chlorinators, and automation controls
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical and mechanical pool components
  • Install new pool equipment such as pumps, heaters, filters, automation systems, and lighting
  • Repair or replace plumbing components including valves, PVC piping, and fittings
  • Conduct equipment inspections and identify preventative maintenance needs
  • Respond to service calls and customer repair requests in a timely manner
  • Document repairs, parts used, and service notes in company systems or service reports
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and commonly used parts in service vehicles
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable local regulations
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair recommendations and equipment operation
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition
  • Assist with emergency repairs or priority service requests when needed

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in pool equipment repair, plumbing, mechanical repair, or a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and recommend effective repair solutions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with pool automation systems and variable-speed pumps
  • Knowledge of saltwater systems and chemical automation equipment
