About Premier Machine Tool Midwest

Premier Machine Tool Midwest is a growing, customer-focused distributor of premium CNC machine tools, tooling, and manufacturing solutions. We represent some of the absolute top manufacturers in their respective fields — products recognized as best-in-class across the industry. Some include Fuji, Index, Sodick EDM, Grob, United Grinding, and SNK America to name a few.

We are a results-oriented company that believes in relationship-based selling and long-term customer success. We focus on understanding each customer's unique needs and delivering the right solution. We build strong relationships with our employees, empower them with autonomy, and reward high performance.

Position Summary

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Senior Account Manager who thrives with ownership and autonomy. You will manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closing — while building lasting, trust-based customer relationships and representing outstanding products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, cold calling, networking, and lead follow-up.
  • Manage the complete sales process: presentations, technical demonstrations, negotiations, and closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Deliver the right solution for each customer by deeply understanding their manufacturing challenges and goals.
  • Take full ownership of your territory and pipeline with high initiative and independence.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets while embracing continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and stay current on industry trends and product knowledge.

Territory

To be determined based on candidate location and business needs (strong preference for candidates already based in the southern Wisconsin area with established manufacturing contacts).

Compensation & Earnings Plan

We offer a highly competitive and negotiable compensation package designed to reward top performers:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Aggressive, uncapped commission structure with accelerating rates
  • Year-end bonus based on company performance

Full compensation details will be discussed during the interview process and tailored to your experience and potential.

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off: 10 days in Year 1, increasing to 15 days (3 weeks) from Year 2 onward
  • All work-related expenses fully covered (travel, accommodation, meals, and other business expenses)
  • Ongoing product training and strong support from our award-winning service team and application team.
  • Creative health insurance options available
  • Professional development opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven track record in outside sales, preferably in capital equipment or machine tools
  • Success in full-cycle B2B sales, including cold calling and closing large deals
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of machining processes
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory

Why Join Premier Machine Tool Midwest?

  • Sell best-in-class products that truly stand out in the market
  • Work in a high-trust, empowering environment that values relationships over micromanagement
  • Significant earning potential with uncapped commissions
  • Full expense coverage and strong team support
  • Opportunity to grow with a company committed to doing things the right way
