Job Title: Street Sweeper Driver Helper (Overnight)
Location: 6150 Nichols Drive, Mableton, GA 30126
Rate of Pay: $17.50 per hour

Job Summary:
SCA is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver Helper to assist with roadside maintenance and litter removal services. This role supports sweeper truck operations by ensuring roadsides remain clean and debris-free. Work will primarily take place at night along interstate routes. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has a strong attention to detail, and is comfortable performing physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position is vital to keeping our service areas clean and safe for the public.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the driver with assigned route duties
  • Perform roadside litter and trash removal in front of the sweeper truck
  • Complete all assigned jobs within the scheduled time frame
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness and quality of work
  • Use extra caution during nighttime and inclement weather conditions
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or driver

Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working outdoors preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and read maps
  • Must pass and maintain a drug-free status (pre-employment and random drug screenings)
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • Moderate physical activity including reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent walking, bending, and stair climbing
