Job description

About the Role

The Senior Vice President, Operations will be responsible for the strategic development and management of OSEA's operations, including supply chain, production, inventory planning, logistics and fulfillment. This role requires an experienced operations leader who has successfully scaled operational infrastructure within a high-growth consumer brand and can establish both the strategic direction and tactical plans needed to support OSEA's continued growth.

You will provide leadership across the Operations organization, building the systems, processes, teams, and external partnerships required to deliver exceptional product quality and customer care while improving efficiency and costs. You will be a visible, driving presence on the executive team and in cross-functional forums, setting the tone, coordinating outcomes, and managing alignment with Product Development, Quality, Marketing, and Finance. You will partner closely with the executive team to deliver OSEA's long-term operational strategy and ensure the business has the capacity, infrastructure, and resources required to support global growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across Operations including manufacturing, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, and customer care, establishing clear priorities, goals, KPIs, and accountability across the Operations organization.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year operations and supply chain strategy that supports OSEA's growth, profitability, product quality, sustainability commitments, and customer experience.
  • Develop and manage the Operations organization, building leadership bench strength and succession depth while developing and retaining high-performing leaders and team members.
  • Lead inventory planning and forecasting to optimize in-stock and inventory investment, working capital, and inventory health.
  • Oversee a rigorous S&OP process that aligns demand forecasts, inventory requirements, production capacity, financial plans, and commercial priorities across the organization.
  • Lead sourcing and procurement strategies, identifying opportunities to strengthen supplier performance, diversify the supply base, improve terms, mitigate risk, and reduce costs without compromising OSEA's standards for quality and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, 3PLs, freight providers, establishing clear performance expectations and holding partners accountable to service, quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Develop long term production and capacity plans that ensure products are manufactured and delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time and in full.
  • Partner closely with Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and other key stakeholders to establish operational timelines for new product launches and ensure inventory, production, packaging, and fulfillment requirements are delivered on time and in full.
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs related to inventory, service levels, lead times, production performance, fulfillment, quality, costs, and vendor performance.
  • Drive opportunities to improve gross margin and operational efficiency through COGS management, cost savings initiatives and vendor negotiations.
  • Partner with Finance to develop operational budgets and forecasts, manage spending, evaluate investments, and monitor performance against financial and operational targets.
  • Lead the optimization of MRP, planning, inventory, and operational systems to improve data accuracy, visibility, forecasting, decision-making, and scalability.
  • Build processes and reporting that provide leadership with clear visibility into supply chain KPIs including inventory optimization levels, supply constraints, operational risks, and future capacity requirements.
  • Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing or production strategies to protect product availability and business continuity.
  • Evaluate OSEA's fulfillment and distribution network as the business scales, identifying opportunities to improve service levels, capacity, cost, and customer experience.
  • Create clear roles, responsibilities, processes, and management systems that enable the Operations team to scale effectively alongside the business.
  • Travel as needed to manufacturing partners, suppliers, distribution partners, company meetings, and other business locations.
  • Collaborate regularly with distributed team members via video and other digital communication tools.
  • Perform work involving extended periods of computer use and sitting or standing, with reasonable accommodations available as required by applicable law.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or related functions, including significant senior leadership experience within a high-growth consumer business.
  • Experience within beauty or skincare required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing operational strategies that improve service levels, reduce operating costs, optimize inventory, and achieve KPIs.
  • Deep expertise in supply chain management, demand and inventory planning, production, procurement, logistics, fulfillment, and vendor management.
  • Experience supporting an omnichannel business across DTC/ecommerce and wholesale or retail channels.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience developing budgets, managing COGS and operating expenses, evaluating investments, and identifying margin improvement opportunities.
  • Proven track record of improving lead times, inventory productivity, quality, service levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing contract manufacturers, suppliers, 3PLs, and other external operational partners.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing Operations and Supply Chain teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate operational data into clear business insights, priorities, and action plans.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with and engage cross-functional teams, senior leadership, vendors, and external business partners.
  • Experience partnering with Product Development and commercial teams to operationalize new product launches and support business growth.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership and execution.
  • Experience adopting AI and modern planning tools to improve forecasting and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position.
  • Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $230,000-$290,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
