What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

Technical Launch Support:ย 

  • Represent and advance the technical capabilities ofย Logistics areaย andย coordinationย during the launch phase.ย 
  • Activelyย participateย in committees and meetings to contribute insights and ensure alignment with launchย objectivesย towardsย logisticsย readiness.ย 

Information Management:ย 

  • Collect, summarize, andย disseminateย related information to relevant teams for effective decision-making.ย 
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of technical data related toย logisticsย areaย in-coordination withย relevant shop wiseย logisticsย team.ย 

Timeline and Budget Monitoring:ย 

  • Monitorย logisticsย activitiesย deadlines,ย parts readinessย timeline,ย change management, BOM readiness,ย Noteย evaluation timelineย and budget forย logistics,ย initiatingย escalation in case of overruns or issues.ย ย 
  • Coordinate and ensureย logisticsย related activities readiness in all shops in coordination with relevant teamย 
  • Collaborate with finance teams to assess financial implications and ensure cost-effective launch strategies.ย 

Collaboration:ย 

  • Coordinate measures with project-specific specialist departments and the vehicle manufacturing site,ย to ensure a seamless launchย w.r.t.ย logisticsย activities.ย 
  • Follow up on the implementation of measures, assessing their effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with launch goalsย (BOM readiness, part readiness, packaging readiness).ย 

Knowledge Representation:ย 

  • Know, represent, and implement the interests of vehicle manufacturing in theย Logisticsย departments, with a specific focus onย logisticsย activities.ย 
  • Facilitate knowledgeย transfer sessions to ensure a comprehensive understanding ofย logisticsย processes.ย 

Financial Expertise:ย 

  • Understand financial key figures in the project, their influencing factors, andย monitorย compliance, particularly related toย logisticsย area.ย 
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and presentations for review and decision-making.ย 

Deadline Management:ย 

  • Recognize missed deadlines, demand action via escalation, and define corrective measures in collaboration withย relevant areas.ย 
  • Develop andย maintainย a detailed timeline forย logisticsย area readiness, ensuring alignment with overall project schedules.ย 

Start-Up Organization:ย 

  • Establish a start-up organization forย logisticsย activities, selecting key personnel and managing early-phase activities.ย 
  • Implement effective communication channels within the start-up organization for streamlined coordination.ย 

Technical Expertise:ย 

  • Familiarity withย logisticsย processes fromย pressย shop toย finish, understanding the intended use of vehicles, and ensuringย timelyย delivery of work content.ย 
  • Knowledge of milestones in the product development process, adherence to product and process standards, and suggestions forย optimizingย the paving process.ย 
  • Knowledgeย ofย logisticsย processes in pre-series production,ย packaging concepts,ย supply chain management, inboundย logistics, and SUMA process.ย 

Industry and Company Knowledge:ย 

  • Understanding ofย the productionย andย logisticsย process, factory control process, and knowledgeย transfer to employees and colleagues.ย 
  • Knowledge of functional divisions within the industry, relations with relevant departments, and integration of processes.ย 
  • Understanding of financing types, cost reference values, and evaluation of project information for monthly/annual presentations.ย 

IT-Knowledge:ย 

  • Proficientย Project management and change management software, including vehicle-specific changes and experience with analysis and reporting software within the companies.ย 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement technology-driven solutions for enhanced launch managementย in paint shop.ย 
  • Proficient knowledge applying the Microsoft Office products [PowerPoint, Excel, Word],ย logisticsย systems.ย 

Knowledgeย Transfer:ย 

  • Application and adaptation of relevant methods, actively contributing new knowledge and experience, and fostering knowledgeย transfer within the team.ย 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.ย 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyย from time to time.

  • Experience:ย 4+ย years ofย Experienceย ofย logisticsย areaย in BEV/ICE OEM, particularly in the automotive industry. Understanding the fundamentals ofย logisticsย processes is essential.ย 
  • Technical Understanding:ย Strong technical understanding ofย logisticsย processes, particularly in relation to steeringย and coordinationย systems. Knowledge of how these processesย impactย the functionality andย launchย of vehicles is crucial.ย 
  • Analytical Skills:ย Proficient in analyzing data,ย identifyingย trends, and making data-driven decisions toย optimizeย logisticsย activitiesย planningย inย allย shops.ย 
  • Problem-Solving Abilities:ย Adept atย identifyingย challenges and implementing effective solutions to ensure seamlessย logisticsย activities forย pre-series vehicle productionย inย allย shops.ย 
  • Communication Skills:ย Excellent communication skills toย facilitateย collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a smooth flow of information.ย 
  • Process Optimization:ย Previousย experience inย optimizingย logisticsย processes, driving efficiency, and implementing best practices.ย

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00
