Step into leadership role shaping the future of sustainability across our corporate operations, including global real estate, procurement, and amenities portfolio, and serve as a resource on energy strategy, procurement and sustainable properties to leaders across JPMorganChase..

As an Energy Strategy, Procurement & Sustainable Operations Executive Director, on the Global Real Estate team, you will lead enterprise-scale energy procurement and operational sustainability initiatives, partnering closely with senior leaders to integrate environmental performance into day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. This role combines technical expertise, financial acumen, program leadership, and cross-functional coordination to deliver measurable environmental and asset value outcomes at scale.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive enterprise-wide decarbonization strategies, delivering financially viable, measurable efficiency and emissions reduction outcomes across our operations. 
  • Assess financial implications, risks, and strategic trade-offs of energy and sustainability investments and develop data driven recommendations to deliver to senior leadership
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross functional teams to embed sustainability principles into operations, and long-term real estate strategy
  • Oversee programs and initiatives designed to minimize the firm's operational impact
  • Guide the development and execution of sustainability initiatives that enhance asset value, resilience, and performance
  • Establish consistent, enterprise-wide approaches, standards, governance, and controls for sustainable practices, including auditable data and disclosures
  • Lead cross functional collaboration to advance sustainability priorities across regions, functions, and stakeholder groups, orchestrating delivery through a global operating model
  • Lead and develop a team of ~15 energy and sustainability professionals 
  • Support internal and external communications related to sustainability strategy, progress, and outcomes

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in energy and sustainability 
  • Expertise in data/control frameworks, with the ability to lead complex, matrixed organizations and influence senior stakeholders
  • Ability to evaluate the financial implications, risks, and strategic trade-offs of complex transactions, and make clear recommendations on preferred alternatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise project execution at global scale
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-level programs balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategic objectives
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to manage, analyze, and communicate insights from large and complex data sets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including senior-level presentations
  • Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and lead effectively in a cross-functional setting
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and sense of urgency, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale sustainability and renewable energy programs within a real estate portfolio or Fortune 500 organization
  • Sustainability leadership experience delivering decarbonization programs across operational and financed emissions
  • Expertise in energy and sustainability governance, GHG accounting
