Job description

Job description With a passion for the environment and with responsibility to purposely steward our natural resources, Weihe Engineers is excited to launch its new Sustainable Design Group.

Established in 1960, Weihe Engineers enables its clients with site development projects across the Midwest to build with confidence. We deliver best-in-class land surveying, civil engineering, sustainable design, and landscape architecture services from passionate and experienced professionals.

As a member of our Sustainability Design Group, you will contribute to the successful advancement and completion of civil engineering design efforts that focus on sustainable development goals. Your role will be instrumental in the implementation of creative and technical design elements that solve challenging problems while meeting environmental goals and industry standards. You will report to the Vice President, Sustainable Design and work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Designers across our Commercial Development Department, Residential Development Department, and Landscape Architecture Studio.

Project Designers can choose from a couple different career paths. One is a more technical path keeping you engaged in sustainable design (once licensed, you will become a Project Engineer). The other path is a more managerial path with promotion to Project Manager having responsibility to provide guidance to clients, manage projects, and lead a project team. Our Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental and natural resource engineering, or environmental and ecological engineering

• Master's degree in civil engineering is preferred

• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam

• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

• 2 years of experience in civil engineering projects

• One year of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Proficiency in grading and drainage calculation and hydrology software (if not, we'll train you)

• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

• Great work ethic

• Ability to multi-task efficiently

• Quick learner

• Highly collaborative

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
