Electrical Engineering Intern | New York, NY

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in New York, NY. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings while working closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants.
This paid, mentored internship offers real project work supporting design coordination, documentation, and project progress across disciplines. You'll contribute to projects in government/municipal and science & technology markets while helping teams meet project goals, client expectations, and budget requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with electrical system design for building projects in accordance with code and IMEG standards

  • Assist with engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings

  • Assist with researching commercially available equipment

  • Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files

  • Assist with coordinating design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams

  • Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress

  • Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check

  • Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information

  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement

  • Work within the project's monetary budget and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations

State of New York Salary Range: $22 - $24
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
