As an Executive Director in the Climate, Nature and Social (CN&S) Risk team, you drive the development and implementation of climate physical risk modeling strategies. You collaborate with stakeholders across risk, data, and technology teams to translate climate model outputs into actionable insights. You support the firm's transition to a low-carbon economy and resilience to physical climate risks. You lead strategic initiatives and foster innovation in risk methodologies.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives within the physical risk team, coordinating with data, technology, and modeling teams
  • Drive execution by aligning stakeholders and delivering against roadmap milestones
  • Cultivate partnerships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with other risk teams to integrate physical risk data
  • Perform research on climate-related topics and design metrics to assess financial risk
  • Contribute to climate modeling initiatives, including scenario design and macroeconomic impact analysis
  • Deliver executive-ready narratives that communicate insights and recommendations
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering innovation and continuous improvement

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced degree in engineering, physics, economics, or mathematics
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience building and scaling climate physical risk analytics
  • Strong knowledge of climate physical risk applied to business use cases within the financial sector
  • Strong leadership skills to influence and drive cross-functional projects
  • Highly effective stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders
  • Strategic and commercial mindset to frame problems and prioritize high-impact work
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex analytical outputs
  • Knowledge of climate scenario analysis and regulatory requirements in banking

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with climate physical risk modeling in the finance sector
  • Familiarity with integrating physical risk data into business-as-usual risk models
  • Ability to design metrics and develop models for climate and nature-related financial risk
  • Experience leading macroeconomic impact analysis for climate risk
  • Proven track record in mentoring and developing teams
  • Passion for innovating methodologies in climate risk
  • Understanding of the transmission channels of physical risk across banking portfolios
