Job description

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

    • Gather and analyze data related to environmental impact, energy use, waste management, and resource consumption.
    • Develop and maintain sustainability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Advise operations on capital improvement actions to drive energy efficiency, qualification of utility rebates. 
    • Primary point of contact for GHG emission reporting, including data collection and analysis.
    • Prepare detailed reports on sustainability performance for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable sustainability reporting standards and regulations
    • Assist with customer required sustainability reporting (CDP, CSR, Secaro, Supplier Assurance and others)
    • Manage PowerBi dashboard used to track organization metrics including energy savings, cost savings, and emission reductions.
    • Manage relationships with utility rebate program managers in each state and prepare utility rebate applications, track to receipt and report to Finance.
    • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives.
    • Identify opportunities for improving sustainability performance and reducing environmental impact.
    • Primary liaison between Autokiniton and Department of Energy leading implementation of Better Plant Program for the organization.
    • Manage and support sustainability projects from inception to completion including Energy Treasure Hunts and Waste Minimization
    • Track opportunities for energy savings, decarbonization, and waste reduction to completion.
    • Manage Air Leak Reduction efforts across all manufacturing operations
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations.
    • Communicate sustainability goals, progress, and achievements to associates, management, investors, and other stakeholders.
    • Participate in sustainability committees and working groups.
    • Advise project teams on impact of infrastructure improvements, conduct energy consumption analysis and propose alternatives, as appropriate.
    • Implement corporate sustainability goals and strategies across facilities, including Secaro, Energy Treasure Hunt, energy efficiency, waste minimization and diversion.
    • Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, policies, and best practices.
    • Promote a culture of sustainability within the organization.
    • Continual education of plant staff and Machine Repair and Planning Team on energy efficiency topics
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all duties
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities.

This salary-exempt role is a part of our Environmental and Sustainability team and reports to the Manager of ESG and Sustainability. 

Required experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

·         Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus: (e.g., Certified Energy Manager)

·         Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience.

·         Sustainability training in accordance with customer requirements.
