To thrive as a Sushi Assistant, you need basic food preparation skills, knowledge of food safety standards, and experience in a kitchen environment, often with a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with sushi-making tools, knives, and food handling equipment, as well as possible food safety certifications, is typically required.
