Survey Manager

Oxford Solutions is partnering with a professional services organization to recruit experienced Survey Managers for openings in multiple states to lead surveying operations. Key markets include: Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, and Wisconsin.

Position Overview

The Survey Manager will provide leadership, management, and operational oversight for the survey department. This role is responsible for staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, regulatory compliance, and the professional development of survey staff while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of survey operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Manage multiple survey crews and survey staff to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and New York survey standards
  • Collaborate with internal client service managers to support business development and promote survey services
  • Mentor, train, and develop professional survey crews and staff
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, quality, and safety

Qualifications

  • Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is required in either Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, or Wisconsin); Multi-state licensure is a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive survey experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing survey teams and operations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Associate degree in Surveying from an accredited institution is preferred
